Welcome to the Jr. High Library!

All About Your Media Specialist/Librarian...
I  have been with the Pottsville School District for 28 years. I began my adventure by teaching 6th grade. I taught in the 6th grade for 4 years
. I continued my  education at Arkansas Tech University and received my masters degree in  Instructional Technology. I became the Middle School Media Specialist  (Librarian) in 1999.
In 2006-2007 school year the Jr. High School was completed and I transferred to the Jr. High as Media Specialist.

The Library . . .
We are planning an outstanding year in the Jr. High Library.
Students are allowed to have 3 books checked out at one time. Students are scheduled to come to the  library one day a week.

On Thursday and Friday the Library is open to everyone I call this "free flow."

On occasion a student might lose or damage a book if this occurs then the student is responsible for the replacement of the book.

Library Hours

Monday through Friday
Open 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Closed 11:30 AM – 12:05 PM
Open 12:05 PM – 3:45 PM

Scholastic Book Fair

The Schoolastic Book Fair is a way of helping our library to add the latest releases in books. Please support the book fair. Jr. High has two fairs a year one in October and one in February. A theme is introduced to excite the students. Contests are available for the school to enter to win prizes. The photo below is from 2007-2008. Our school won the contest and received a visit from Rick Riordan, and $2,000.00 dollars for books!
